Usage notes
[edit]ترکی (turkī) is the most common way to refer to the Republic of Turkey. However, the Government of Pakistan has started using تُرْکِیَہ (turkiya) more frequently upon the change of the official English name to the Republic of Türkiye, with an alternative spelling of ترکیے (turkīye).
