Compare to Tatar әйе (äye, “yes”), Kazakh иә (iä, “yes”), Kyrgyz ийи (iyi, “yes”), ийе (iye, “yes”), Southern Altai эйе (eye, “yes”), Tuvan ийе (iye, “yes”), Turkish iyi (“good”), etc.
