Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Old Ruthenian дво́йчи (dvójči), from Old East Slavic дъвоичи (dŭvoiči), from Proto-Slavic *dъvojьťi. By surface analysis, дві (dvi) + -чі (-či). Compare Russian два́жды (dváždy).
