[edit]A script w; generally designed as a Greek omega ω.
Diacritical mark

- (IPA, obsolete) labialized.
- (phonetics, rare) rounded with the lips but not velarized as in [ʷ].
- (romanization, obsolete) Used during the Colonial era to mark nasalization of vowels in Mexican languages; placed above the vowel.
Usage notes
[edit]When carried by a letter with a descender, it may be placed above the letter, e.g. ⟨ŋ᫇ ɡ᫇ ɣ᫇ q᫇ χ᫇ y᫇⟩.
