- (reflexive, intransitive) to not be indifferent (to criticism, etc.); to not shrug off
- Han tog inte åt sig av kritiken
- He shrugged off the criticism
- (reflexive, transitive) to ascribe to oneself
- Ta åt sig äran för något
- Take the credit for something ("take for oneself the honor for something")
