[edit]Enlargement with the collective suffix -dh(ë) of variant shparr.[1] Alternatively from Proto-Albanian *is-pardza, from Proto-Indo-European *perǵ- (compare Lithuanian pérgas (“fishing canoe”), Polish próg (“threshold, doorstep”)).[2]
