Etymology
[edit]Borrowed from Old East Slavic стькло (stĭklo) (compare Russian стекло́ (stekló)), itself a borrowing from Gothic 𐍃𐍄𐌹𐌺𐌻𐍃 (stikls, “beaker, chalice, goblet”).[1]
