  1. to give in (relent)
    De fortsatte tjata, och till slut så gav han med sig

Usage notes

Somewhat ambiguous in (sense 2), like in English. Can both mean some effect towards a collapse and an actual collapse. Usually clear from context, in the same way as in English.
