Cognate with Sambali ibi, Kapampangan bie, Bikol Central bugay, Aklanon bugay, Cebuano bugay, Hiligaynon bugay, Maranao begay, Iranun enggay, Maguindanao ingay, Tboli belay, Malay beri, and Puyuma beray.
