Cotend with, to be contentious: Unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth: Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also unto the Gentile; -Def Taken {in part} From: [KJV] Romans 2:8-9

syllable break?

[edit]

Would you tell me why is there the dot in the IPA pronunciation? i see that the IPA page describes it as a "syllable break", but there usually isn't such a thing, so i don't really know how it affects pronunciation.
