[edit]Borrowed from Bavarian Kas. Austrian German variant of Käse (“cheese”) (alongside Käs which is mainly used in Vorarlberg). Mainly used in compounds referring to certain dishes that contain cheese such as Kasnocken, Kaspressknödel and Erdäpfelkas.
