[edit]From Ancient Greek Ἀγλαΐα (Aglaḯa, from ἀγλαΐα (aglaḯa, “splendour, beauty”)). The youngest of the three Graces, daughter of Zeus and Eurynome, spouse of Hephaestus. It has the same Indo-European root of γελάω (geláō, “to laugh”).
