The prototypical coordinate is a multi-word expression that consists of a coordinator and a head (usually a noun, verb, adjective or adverb). Most such entries are most commonly for expressions that serve to terminate lists of one or more conjuncts, serving as placeholders for omitted members of a possibly much longer list. Also included are one-word terms and abbreviations that function in the same way as the prototypical coordinate.
