No 2009/85, Papers from Osterreichish-Rumanischer Akademischer Verein

Abstract: Although there is a global tendency of increasing the purchase volume of goods or services on the Internet, in the same time there is the possibility of fraudulently use of cards to pay for them. The online stores have to provide the security to the necessary data for the delivery of ordered products, so that when someone succeeds to enter illegally the data bases of the on-line store, he will not have access to the confidential data relating to banking cards. Depending on function and development strategy of the banks there are two types of client/server informatics systems: central database systems and distributed database systems.
