Abstract:
In fact, the movements in the currency market, are so important that governments set policies to control the fluctuation of their currencies in the world market. In doing so, they hope to make their currencies appreciate or depreciate not too against other currencies, affecting not only the balance of imports and exports, but the global economy of their countries. In the case of microenterprises and how it affects the dollar or in the present case as the exchange rate affects microentrepreneurs considering that the figures show the positive impact of micro enterprise sector in the economy. 96% of existing establishments are micro and Colombia from 1990 to 2005 these business units maintain a representative share of GDP, as in the contribution to employment, which accounts for over 50% of employed in the country. In this vein, MSMEs become a conglomeration of companies of utmost importance for the development of the country and becomes relevant deepen the behavior of the exchange rate through the five years 2004-2008 where we can show variations is with a tendency towards depreciation or otherwise towards a revaluation, affecting micro and macro-economic interests of the Colombian economy, generating instability and dependence on a variable that should not be, but still the most important factor to prove competitive in international markets.
