Inversión en infraestructura pública y crecimiento económico, evidencia para Chile

Public infrastructure, investment and economic growth in Chile

Byron Idrovo

MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany

Abstract: In this paper we estimate the long-term elasticity of public infrastructure of GDP for the period 1960-2010. It is important to note that while the term "equilibrium" in economics is quite broad, here we refer only to a stable statistical relationship between economic variables. In this paper we analyze the critical role of public infrastructure investment (including the investment works concessions) in total factor productivity in Chile.
