Samuel, do you have a favorite IoT device? I have been flirting with an idea on how to automate my life with all of these kids in the house (just 2 but feels like 40)! We have a nightlight that tells "time" based on the schedule we've programmed from my son (who is too young to read time right now), but I've been thinking about more ways to do things like this.

that's actually a brilliant idea, I also have a similar setup where my 1-year-old knows dad is online when the LED is RED on my office door. To the question, I absolutely love the esp32 family as it has wifi capabilities or my numerous automation, but I always keep a pi as the gateway to Azure.
