Learn to be teachable as a software engineer:

One of the mistakes I see most software developers make is not accepting that they don’t know what they don’t know.

They think if they admit they don't know a thing, they are showing they are weak or inexperienced in that area.
Always learn to say "I don't know" when you don't know a particular topic or concept.

Give room for people to teach you what you don’t know or only have a little knowledge of.
It’s often exhausting to pretend you know something when you don’t know actually it.

Knowing how to admit when you don’t know a thing is the first step to becoming excellent at what you do.

Accepting that you are open to learning from others is a sign of maturity and one of the first steps towards gaining mastery.

Acknowledging what you don’t know or aren’t sure about not only makes you more relatable but also makes you appear even more competent and confident.
