Revision as of 02:16, 21 June 2013

File:Patricia_Clarkson_2,_2010.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Please do not replace Flickr review tags after they have been removed by an image reviewer. Please do not remove 'No Permission' templates without providing rationale for your use of a possibly copyrighted photo. Thanks! Warfieldian (talk) 03:58, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, but why delete the 3 images, Is there a problem in Upload Photos? Thank you.--MyCanon (talk) 05:11, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ask

By the way, I have seen some of your uploaded images from user Jennifer in Flickr. Did you contact with her by Flickrmail or something else? And how long do you have to wait until she replied. I had asked her some images before (about 4 months ago) but no reply. Please let me know. Thank you. Best Regards!--Hoangquan hientrang (talk) 03:24, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I told her to change the image licenses, Via Flickrmail, and she told me, of course I will. Thanks for the discussion. --MyCanon (talk) 03:51, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do you want to ask her to change some of the photos licensed ? --MyCanon (talk) 03:58, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much but I think I should try to ask the permission myself. Best regards--Hoangquan hientrang (talk) 04:13, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, good luck Hoangquan hientrang, Thank you. --MyCanon (talk) 04:22, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. So do you think of using your uploaded images for Wikipedia. That's useful--Hoangquan hientrang (talk) 09:45, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, of course, Thank you very much, Thanks for the discussions Hoangquan hientrang. Good luck in your life. --MyCanon (talk) 16:22, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Flickr change of license

Hello

You can see that most of the image in Wonder World Tour from calmdownlove. Now the free license has been revoked but they are still freely used. So I tagged Flickr change of license tag to make people notice it. I have seen some deletion requests involved in this case. Best regards!--Hoangquan hientrang (talk) 12:12, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This media was probably deleted.
Thanks for uploading File:Kyle Massey 2011.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:Kyle Massey 2011.jpg) and the above demanded information in your request.

Denniss (talk) 02:37, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If allowed Denniss, what's the problem in the photos ? --MyCanon (talk) 02:42, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See Commons talk:Questionable Flickr images#MingleMediaTVNetwork for more details. In short, it looks like the image in question is not the creation of MingleMedia, so Denniss is unsure if they have permission to change the license so it can be used on Wikipedia. I gotta agree with him on that score. Tabercil (talk) 03:39, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello MyCanon

Your uploaded images are quite nice. Keeping on good work of relicensing images. By the way, I want to let you know that image File:Enrique Iglesias 2011.jpg has wrong name (I have checked out on Flickr that the image was taken on June 2010 not 2011). So can I rename it? And when you reupload an images, I think you should list them in the "Retouched (Edited) image" rather than "Image permission". Good luck. Best regards--Hoangquan hientrang (talk) 05:48, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I did not see the correct date of the picture, will not repeat them again, good luck again. --MyCanon (talk) 00:38, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

They are images that I had asked for permission 2 months ago and now I get the reply. My Internet connection is now having some errors now and uploading image is rather slow. Remember to attribute to Thomas Attila Lewis in license tag like this image File:Skeet Ulrich 2010.jpg. And could you contact to that user to provide the link on Commons. Thank you very much. Hello, MyCanon!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

In case you like to get your uploads auto-reviewed

Hello, I just thought that you are maybe interested in Flickr Upload Bot (see also User:Flickr upload bot), which can be used to automatically upload and review images from Flickr. Unfortunately the bot hasn't a "pro"-account and there is a limit per month. Furthermore the uploads do not appear in your automatic generated list of uploads. So it is just a suggestion. Thanks for all your very good uploads. -- RE rillke questions? 18:10, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to this proposal, and will try it later. Thank you Rainer. --MyCanon (talk) 19:46, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Flickr review problems

The flickr review has had Problems recently marking images--it has been marking only 1 image per hour. So, I marked a small number of images and failed these 2 images from here and here If I haven't seen the flickr license before a license change, it will always be judged a copy vio.

 •  Comment: If I had not seen a flickr license change like this case I would have failed this too. Those are the rules...and I cannot change them. As for the user...he clearly checks where his images are used and does not approve their use. So, he changes the license. I failed the 2 images above since I never saw their flickr license before I marked them. Sorry. --Leoboudv (talk) 09:42, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And now all the images that Upload in the Wikimedia Commons to change the license. I agree in the opinion, delete the images from the copyright and these are the rules of Wikimedia Commons. Thank you for your interest. --MyCanon (talk) 09:56, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ipernity review

I marked the 2 pictures you mentioned because I had the ipernity template to do so. I am usually busy on weekdays and don't have the license review bot on my old computer. You could always ask an Admin like MGA73 or Lymantria on Commons to mark them with license review. Ipernity images are the hardest for me to mark. Best Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 21:35, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, my friend, I will submit the request again, who reminded them of the administrators MGA73 and Lymantria. thank you for the service, I wish you a happy life. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 22:54, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your words are true, I forgot, I have put a template (flickrreview) in this picture, see. I promise not to repeat it again my friend. Thanks for the debate on this important topic. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 12:23, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Comment

All you have to write on the image you want deleted is: , like this etc. (Just remove the 'tl' and vertical line so you get 'Speedydelete|Duplicate of File:ImageX.jpg'...and don't forget the opening and closing brackets.

I will tag two if the images but you should tag the third. I am not an Admin like MGA73 or Lymantria who can delete images right away. Best Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 02:55, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the instructions, added a speedy deletion of this image, such as what you did in the rest of the photos. Thank you for your contributions to me. I wish you luck my friend. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 04:19, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, MyCanon, I have answered in my talk page. Sorry for the delayed answer--Morning Sunshine (talk) 04:56, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How many?

I see you uploaded 11 images of Vanessa Hudgens. How many images do we really need to illustrate any article about her? Would you not agree that all these images basically show the same situation, so it is likely only one, or maybe two, will likely ever be used? Ww2censor (talk) 16:00, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the talk, I like upload, global celebrity pictures such as this character, and see in these pictures new for this year 2012. It will show photos in articles Vanessa Hudgens, in Wikipedia. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 00:55, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I know that you seem to like celebrity image. Are you really going to use 11 similar image in the en:Vanessa Hudgens article that are essentially the same? There are already 4 different images that complement the prose, so what will happen to the other 10 images? Ww2censor (talk) 01:23, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Users will actually add images in the following other languages. And perhaps in articles related to this character. --MyCanon (talk) 01:28, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, of course I know they can do that, obviously related to this character. You still have not actually answered why we would need 11 very similar images. Just forget I asked. Ww2censor (talk) 03:21, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I just wanted the composition in the picture of this character, in this beautiful dress. There is no problem in upload many of the diverse images of a person. There are many categories there with a lot of pictures. See in this category there are many of the images. Many of the pictures in this category was not used in Wikipedia. Thanks for the conversation with me. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 03:59, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: This User

Its hard to say if he is trustworthy. He's had this flickr account since January 2008 but only has 103 images on it. Since he took 40+ images at 2 just events--and a basic flickr account can hold up to 200 images--one would expect something like 190+ images by now. You can always flickrmail this user and ask him if he took it or contact him at an address given on his web page. This person is no Eva Rinaldi or Alan Light with thousands of images, I'm afraid where you can be 100% sure. I'm not certain at all. The account is strange: It has no activity between 2009 to 2011 and then there are suddenly freely licensed images uploaded in 2012. The images uploaded in 2008 are all 'ARR.' Why did this author suddenly upload images here?

My flickr account from 2008 only has 140 images but I clearly state in my flickr profile that they are my own images--taken by me--which people (generally) can freely use since I license 99% of them freely. I upload more images to Commons which accepts high resolution photos since flickr places a 1024 X 683 pixel maximum resolution to basic accounts which is unfortunate and I don't take many images to justify a 'Pro' account. In this case, this flickr user clearly implies the account is his. But, you're taking a chance if you use his images. It might be OK or it might not. I cannot be certain here sadly. You can contact and ask him if you wish though and hope that he will answer back and is trustworthy. Sadly, one can never be sure when it comes to copyvios. I hope I did not muddle the issue. The other solution is to contact an Admin who regularly tags and deletes copyvios and flickrwashes like Turelio He can give you a very clear reply here say to the question I posed above on whether the 2012 images are truly this author's own work since they are fairly recent. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 02:55, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry for the late, and told me that user from Flickr, he who took the photos. But I myself do not rely on this user's images look similar on the internet. --MyCanon (talk) 00:50, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
 •  Comment: In the end, its your call if you wish to use this person's pictures. I have uploaded 2-3 images of celebrities to Commons but the flickr copyright owners just happened to attend a function that they knew the Hollywood actor/acctres would be at. Like these 2 photos. The copyright owners requested attribution by name in the image...which I gave.
 • File:Lea Thompson by Gregg Bond (2008).jpg
 • File:Robert Duncan McNeill by David Twolan.jpg

At the time, there were no images of these 2 celebrities on Commons and I noticed the only one for Lea (of Back to the Future fame) was deleted as a copy vio. But personally, I am not a big Hollywood fan at all. I like ancient history actually. Thank You, --Leoboudv (talk) 05:28, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for this comment right on this subject. But I'm interested in pictures of Hollywood celebrities. I have uploaded are a lot of picture a celebrity. But I see these photos from this user Copivuo. I think so. Thank you for a conversation with me about it. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 15:33, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Color balance

I can't tell for sure because my current monitor is off for gamma, but I think you're overenhancing the contrast/colors in your flickr crops like File:Zachary Quinto Comic-Con 2010.jpg. Please check on other (preferably calibrated) monitors. Cheers. Materialscientist (talk) 23:58, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry for that, but I think the picture is clear, and the size is also appropriate. Thanks for the talk. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 00:19, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please read Commons:OTRS#If you need to confirm permission. It's that easy ;)--Bapti 17:40, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 00:47, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again Bapti, I did not succeed in this subject. But does that mean here sent via email permissions-commons@wikimedia.org, I put the URL of the image, that I want upload in the Wikimedia Commons ?
Please help me in this subject. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 15:16, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
First you need to upload the picture for which you have got a permission, with the OTRS pending template (to confirm that you have got a permission). Then you need to send the permission, or, better, to ask to the author to sent the permission. Hope this helps.--Bapti 16:33, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Means talking with the publisher's. Such a user of Flickr. I talk with him and what to say to him ?
I'm talking with many of the users of Flickr, to change their licenses images, like this person. But some of them do not want to change their licensing. Such as this person. Thank you to talk with me about it. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 18:04, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
For pictures on Flickr, you don't need to use OTRS but just ask the users to change their licenses images : cf Template:Flickrreview. If a user doesn't answer to your messages, there is nothing to do...--Bapti 15:56, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, I speak to users in Flickr to change their licenses. Such this images. But I do not know how to use the OTRS. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 00:35, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Bapti, Do I have, to get the program from this site ? So that I can get the images by OTRS. --MyCanon (talk) 00:24, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
O.o No, you just need the author to send a email to OTRS.--Bapti 15:20, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Means the first thing we do is to upload the image that I want, And I put the template . The second thing I speak to you or a member of the OTRS, sends a message to OTRS. This e-mail: permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Is this good information ? --MyCanon (talk) 15:43, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, please follow the instructions on Commons:OTRS : first you upload the picture with OTRS pending on Wikimedia Commons, then you ask the author to sent the permission and you wait until a volonteer verify the permission.--Bapti 15:58, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
 • Thank you for the follow-up with me.
 • We have been responding to the current OTRS site. They sent me a ticket registration. via Yahoo Mail.
 • I understood then upload a picture and I put OTRS pending.
 • I have a question, But if no response from the author, what to do?
 • But, will delete the image after that? This thing that worries me.
 • I have another a question, Do I will talk with the author, Or, has to be one of the members of the OTRS talking with the author? --MyCanon (talk) 14:14, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand your matter... Please follow the instructions on Commons:OTRS. You don't need to go on otrs.com. You just need to upload the picture on Wikimedia Commons with the OTRS pending tag and to ask the author to send the permission : the Wikimedia OTRS team (not the OTRS team of the OTRS software on otrs.com) will ask directly the author some clarifications if needeed. If the author never send the permission, the file with the OTRS pending tag will be delete on Wikimedia Commons.--Bapti 15:02, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Original size on Flickr is 'Maximum Resolution' version of the picture

For this photo, you would go back to the flickr source here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/luckthelady/5053605583/

 • First click on the magnifying glass between Newer and Older:

Then you would click once on the "Original" 3648 X 2736 pixels (maximum resolution) size photo and save it perhaps to a folder on your computer or a USB drive. Then you would crop that version of the photo and upload it to WikiCommons to get that super large size image on Commons. That is all I did. On Flickr.com, the image settings are on Large, not Original size. So, you must find and save the Original size version of the photo yourself. Best Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 01:36, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

 •  Comment: On that second picture, the photographer took the photo at a low resolution perhaps with a low quality camera. That is why there is no large size image at c.1024 X 682 pixels version available. I'm afraid, I cannot increase the quality of the image as my image software is outdated. But perhaps you could ask Admin ZooFari or Quibik what software they use to increase the resolution of low quality images? ZooFari and Quibik work in the photo/graphic lab with images at WikiCommons. But please note that ZooFari is a busy person and has not been on Commons since February 5. Maybe Quibik can help you faster. Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 01:25, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome, Dear Patroller !

Counter Vandalism Unit

Hi MyCanon !

You now have the Patroller right and may call yourself a patroller ! Please take a moment to read the updated Commons:Patrol to learn how Patrolling works and how we use it to fight vandalism.

As you know already, the patrolling functionality is enabled for all edits, not just for new-page creations. This enables us to keep track of, for example, edits made by anonymous users here on Commons.

We could use you help at the Counter Vandalism Unit. For example by patrolling an Anonymous-edits checklist and checking a day-part.

If you have any questions please leave a message on the CVU talkpage or ask for help on IRC in #wikimedia-commons. Morning Sunshine (talk) 04:31, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you my friend on this Patroller. I'll do my best in the Wikimedia Commons. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 14:41, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Need your help

Could you please go through your recent flickr downloads (here) and correct the flickr links (and authors if necessary)? Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 05:28, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

✓ Done All images have been modified. Thank you for your notice. --MyCanon (talk) 05:50, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, most of them still link to Anna Kendrick by Gabbo T. Any chance to fix that? Materialscientist (talk) 06:10, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Did you mean that I fix this photo ?
Or do you mean that replaced Tony Shek to GabboT ? --MyCanon (talk) 06:32, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
From my end, any file here containing TIFF in its name links to a wrong flickr source and I can't quickly check the license. Unfortunately, I have no time to relocate the source, thus asking you as the uploader. Materialscientist (talk) 06:34, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I was pleased to talk with you. Thanks I understand now. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 06:59, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jenna Dewan-Tatum Photo Marked for Deletion

Please let me know why this photo has been marked for deletion (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Wcfirm). It is a photo taken by my client Channing Tatum of his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum (also my client). I was granted permission by both of my clients to post the photo on Wikipedia and it's also been posted on Jenna Dewan-Tatum's IMDB page here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1564087/

Does the photo need to be posted in Flickr's creative commons? Wcfirm (talk) 18:48, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry for this,
from the Wikimedia Commons, must not upload a picture available in the known sites such as zimbio.com and imdb.com, justjared.com and other. This is one of copyright. You can discuss one of the administrators to help you in this matter. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 00:26, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Refrain

Please refrain from uploading my photos to the Commons. I am very specific about how I wish to be credited in both the description, and the title of the image. Please do not upload any further images from my photo set from Wondercon. Thanks. Gage (talk) 21:46, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OK Gage, I'm sorry for this. Thank you for beautiful pictures of celebrities. But I support. That was removed duplicate. Picture of Kristen Stewart because there is a difference between the two versions. I am sorry for this. I wish you success in your life. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 22:06, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I specifically requested that you not upload my photos, and yet you have continued to do so. Please request deletion of these photos because I do NOT want them on here. Thank you. Gage (talk) 20:55, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again Gage, I promise, that I will not repeat them again, I'm sorry, Success in your life. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 23:29, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

An advice

Just a thought on files like File:Hugh Grant 2012.jpg. When you photoenhance them, consider that the settings/hardware of your screen/video card might be different from standard (so called "calibrated monitor"). This is a tricky issue, and if you are not sure about it, just keep brightness and color settings unchanged in professional images (like those by Eva Rinaldi). I would revert them to the flickr originals (rotation/crop is off course a different matter). Images for articles are selected by quality. Cheers. Materialscientist (talk) 06:15, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Materialscientist, Thank you for this advice. But I like when the picture is clear for all to see. and in the nature of the images in Flickr Some pictures is not clear. and I cropped the picture and clarified. Cheers. --MyCanon (talk) 21:01, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations, Dear Reviewer

If you use the helper-the scripts, you will find the links next to the search box (vector) or as single tabs (monobook). They are named license+ and license-

Hi MyCanon, thanks for your application to be an image reviewer. The application has been removed as successful, and you've been added to the list of reviewers. You can review all kind of image licenses on Commons. Please see Commons:License review and Commons:Flickr files if you haven't done so already. We also have a guide how to detect copyright violations. Backlogs include Flickr review, Picasa review, Panoramio review, and files from other sources. You can use one of the following scripts by adding one of the lines to your common.js:

importScript('User:ZooFari/licensereviewer.js'); // stable script for reviewing images from any kind of source OR
importScript('User:Rillke/LicenseReview.js'); // contains also user notification when review fails, auto blacklist-check and auto-thank you message for Flickr-reviews.

You can also add User reviewer or User trusted to your user page if you wish. Thank you for your contributions on Commons!--Morning Sunshine (talk) 04:59, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Morning Sunshine, Thank you my friend on this Reviewer. I'll do my best in the Wikimedia Commons. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 07:21, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello MyCanon, did you really compare the license of the images? The scripts do not checke them, they just help to change the templates. Today, I did and found this file has cc-by-nc on Flickr which is not allowed on Commons. -- RE rillke questions? 10:37, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Rainer, This is not reasonable, He was licensed by the "cc-by-sa-2.0" and has been changed by the author. Thanks for the alert. And I promise not to repeat again. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 11:20, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
When you say and has been changed by the author, you mean the Flickr-user, yes? -- RE rillke questions? 11:27, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, of course, noted, that all the images in this Flickr user has changed the license. Thanks. --MyCanon (talk) 11:30, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just for myself: Now, I did further research and found that (works with JavaScript deactivated only) on 5. Apr. 2012 01:24:47 GMT, the paper collage was licensed under cc-by-nc (Anyone can see this photo AttributionNoncommercial Some rights reserved). -- RE rillke questions? 14:30, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for a conversation with me about this important topic. And I promise I will not repeat them again, and I have to pay attention again, when reviewing the images. Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 23:09, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Now I checked your next reviews: And again, I found that the license on Flickr does not match the one on Commons.

The purpose of Licensereviewing is to ensure the file is compatible with Commons' licensing and that the licenses match, the author is properly attributed and the source mentioned.

Are you sure, you checked the license on Commons (cc-by-sa-2.0) did match the one on Flickr while you reviewed the images? -- RE rillke questions? 20:24, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, licensing has been changed image again. I spoke to the author and I told him to change the licensing images. See in these pictures have been reviewed by Administrator. I swear that the images were licensed (cc-by-sa-2.0).
But I do not know what the problem authors images in Flickr, agree to change licenses. In the end, they change their minds. I'm sorry again for this. I will speak with the author of these images. To see why he changed his mind. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 20:45, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. Yes, that's strange. If you ask the authors to change the license, they must be also aware of the fact that creative-commons licenses are irrevocable. Thanks for your patience with me, I think you don’t have to bother the Flickr-authors again; I trust you. Thanks for the link to the other file. Regards. -- RE rillke questions? 21:10, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've sent a message to that user from Flickr, and wait for him to respond. The problem i don’t bother him, I asked him to just change the license. Thank you for everything you've done to me. And thank you to watching licenses images, of users in Flickr. Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 21:46, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot! I've replaced the old photo on all wikis that contain an article reffering to Peyton. By the way I've been looking for a photo of Elizabeth Gillies since a long time ago. There're some good photos on Flickr, but unfortunately these images aren't free to use it on Wikipedia. Can you please upload one or two photos of her? Best Regards. --Simon.hess (talk) 09:22, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And The problem is not all Flickr users want to change their licenses images. But I will try to request the appropriate licenses for Elizabeth Gillies. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 23:59, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Do you ask the users from Flickr to change the copyright of their images over Flickrmail? I once did that, but I never get a response. Please let me know how you get the permission to use their images on Wikipedia. Regards from Switzerland. --Simon.hess (talk) 13:52, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, by Flickrmail. If the author did not respond to you, Send again to the author, so that reply to you. And is not all Flickr users want to change their licenses images. And some of them say you, images is not free. If you want to get the picture, you have to pay. Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 18:58, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Uploading my work off of Commons

Hi MyCanon - I appreciate a lot of the work that you do, but will you please stop uploading my work off of Commons? Since 2006 I have uploaded my work here, and you are usurping my work out of my own contribution stream. You uploaded one of my Cameron Diazs that was already uploaded, and you have duplicate files of my Chris Colfer, Emma Watson, etc. If those files should be in anyone's contribution history, it should be the person who took the time to arrange that photography session, stand around for hours waiting to take the photo, creates the photograph and then works on the post-production. I'd appreciate it if you would have the duplicates deleted. Thank you. --David Shankbone (talk) 12:16, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello David Shankbone.
✓ Done, Was deleted two duplicate pictures of Cameron Diaz and Chace Crawford. Thank you to my talk about it. And Thank you for the new images of celebrities. Rosamund Pike

Hi MyCanon. I noticed the newly uploaded file File:Rosamund Pike 2011.jpg is a duplicate of File:RosamundPikeJan2011.jpg. Both images are the same though yours has better colors etc. Isn't it an idea to merge the two? The second one is already inserted in lots of articles btw. Just a suggestion. Think about it. :) Kind regards, Trijnsteltalk 01:43, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Trijnstel, Yes, just wanted to clarify the colors in this picture, this is the best to put it in Rosamund Pike Page on Wikipedia. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 01:54, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Michelle Trachtenberg

Hi MyCanon,

I hope you can help me out one more time. The images of Michelle Trachtenberg here on Commons are kinda old (< 2008). So I've just locked around for newer pictures and found these ones ([1]). As you are my first contact person for getting image permissions I would like to ask you if you're able to get the permission for one or two of these images and upload it on Commons. Hope this doesn't waste too much of your time. Kind regards --Simon.hess (talk) 09:33, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me for butting in, but he won't be able to get those shots cleared for use on Commons. The shots belong to a photo agency - Retna to be specific. Tabercil (talk) 04:16, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again Simon.hess,

✓ Done, I've Uploaded this photos in (2011), see links photos here:

And photos that you have requested. I'm sorry, I can not get a license these images. These images of Joe Stevens/Retna Ltd. And not the Jala Bars. sorry for this. Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 04:28, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
First, my apologies for posting at Materialscientist's talk page before posting here, but those images have copyright notices in the image comments: "© Patrick McMullan== Photo - Patrick McMullan/PatrickMcMullan.com". I don't know which takes precedence in a case like this, however. --Uncle Milty (talk) 17:06, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Uncle Milty, thank you for discussion on this topic. I see this is a reliable user of Flickr. Has many of the photos submitted in the Wikimedia Commons. See the search engine for Vivanista1. There is no complaint of this user of Flickr. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 18:31, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at some of the others, and I agree that they are properly licensed. However, this particular one has a copyright notice on the page (and in the XMP data in the "Medium 600" size photo itself) and no evidence that it was released from that copyright. --Uncle Milty (talk) 21:32, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Now that I've had the time to look, every single one of the images in that search have embedded copyright notices, by at least 3 different photographers. That doesn't look right to me. --Uncle Milty (talk) 22:44, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If allowed, there are many users of trusted Flickr has 3 different photographers. You can inquire about it to administrators here. Best Regards. --MyCanon (talk) 23:14, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Again

I specifically instructed you to not upload any of my photos, and yet you have continued to do so. Please request deletion of every photo from Comic-Con 2012, that was taken by me, that you uploaded. Immediately. Thank you. Gage (talk) 03:27, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I am not the only one who did so, there are a lot of users have done so. See in Category:2012 Comic-Con International. Any user who can upload images with appropriate license and trusted publishers. Thank you. --MyCanon (talk) 04:33, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Picture of Demi Lovato

Hi, I hope you are fine. Maybe you can help us, there is a discussion about the image that should be used in the wikipedia article of Demi Lovato. Sadly, the recent picture is kinda old and there is actually no better image. I would like to ask you if you can organize a better and more current photo. Thanks for your time. --Simon.hess (talk) 09:35, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thanks for your reply, that would be done.
Unfortunately, I have to bother you again :) I was asked for an image of Zachary Gordon and Robert Capron, so I looked for it on Flickr and found these pictures: [2], [3], [4], [5]. Can you ask for the permission? Finally, there should be one image of Zach and one of Robert, therefore you do not have to request the permission for all of these photos. Thank you very much. Best Regards --Simon.hess (talk) 19:50, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Simon.hess, Picture that you have requested. I'll talk to the publishers of these pictures, To change licenses for pictures of Zachary Gordon and Robert Capron. Best Regards!. --MyCanon (talk) 12:47, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tom Sorenson images

Hi, MyCanon. The image of Atticus Shaffer can easily be undeleted once User:Tom Sorensen contacts OTRS to confirm that he agrees to publish the image under a free license. The only way to resolve the problem is either to change to licenses on Flickr or contact OTRS from the email account associated with the Flickr account.

I agree with you that these are high-quality images and it's desirable that they be kept. However, their quality is immaterial if we can't resolve the discrepancy between the licenses. Tagging them OTRS pending is premature since it doesn't appear that User:Tom Sorensen has contacted OTRS yet. Rrburke (talk) 03:05, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notification about possible deletion

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

I'm sorry I did not notice the publisher, I thought images like this image. To that of the same user of Flickr, a Peabody Awards. Unfortunately these great pictures and I hope to keep it. Can I put a template OTRS pending. The problem is I do not know how to connect with the publisher by OTRS. Can you do this for me, please. You are a member of the OTRS team. Please, I do not want to lose these pictures. We will be on the debate on this important subject. Kind Regards. MyCanon () 12:09, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, what you need to do is contacting with the email address in the EXIF "sales@startraksphoto.com" to ask for permission. If the author agrees, please forward to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. I or any other OTRS volunteer willdeal with this. Good luck--Morning (talk) 12:25, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What a mess! Well, first you will find the image you want and send an email to the author. If he wants to release the image, you send an email with the releasing form. Oh, you can do two things, or forward the e-mail to otrs (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org), or you can ask the author to do this itself. Don't forget to send the link of the picture to OTRS. After that the work is with the OTRS volunteers who will consider the application. Well, OTRS pending will prevent the image from being eliminated for not having a license released. I didn't find a message relationed with your e-mail address. Did you sent a permissions to OTRS? Did you receive a feedback?+PrinceWilly 16:31, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Kathryn Newton

Do you mind? Will you stop reverting every time I replace an image of yours on the en.wikipedia? You've done this before in the past. Stop owning your articles. I replaced your image with a superior one in color AND straightened, and you come along and copy my straight image, but your mis-colored version (others have commented on the coldness of your images on your talk page before). Please stop owning every article. Leave the Kathryn Newton article image alone for now. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 19:40, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What's all this talk, I just wanted to crop the image and show her face,'s opinion this is the best of the current in the article now. the show her face clearly and colors of normal is the best in the picture. This is my suggestion on this topic. Thank you. MyCanon () 21:12, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
But your colors aren't normal, that's the thing. Your images, for some reason, are altered from the original image to be colder. Okay, in this example, Tom Sorensen's original image is untouched, and the colors are uninteresting, but warm. When you cropped the original image—without straightening it—the colors became cooler. This has been touched upon by others on your talk page. I don't know if you're doing anything to the image or if your photo software is automatically altering the color, but the color in your edited images actually become colder and less life-like than the original. Now then, the image was not straight, so I came along and straightened it, but I also warmed the image up from the original image, which enhances the life and vibrancy of the image. This is why it's pleasant having the original image to work with in the first place. But it's almost rude to replace my image before it's even had 24 hours to "live" with an image that basically copies my work, but with deader colors. I really do agree with Materialscientist above that maybe the gamma on your monitor is incorrect. She looks like a corpse on your versions. Plus, you recropped my crop, and it's a haphazard crop at that.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the work you do in uploading many fine images onto Commons, but I find a lot of them to be so cold and lifeless in color, that I question their usage. The original images are usually more colorful than the ones that you've worked on. I leave most of your images alone, but Kathryn Newton's simply had to be fixed. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 21:22, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes you have the right to change the colors of the picture, what is working in the correct color photo? Because I see many pictures you have the correct colors, Such this image and this. Please, What is the program you are using the correct color images? I am downloading many wonderful pictures of celebrities. Thanks. MyCanon () 21:58, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

✓ Done, Finally, I've been color correction, to see how the colors look natural, are better now:

What is your opinion? MyCanon () 08:09, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have two problems still, though. One, the crop is simply too tight, I feel like the viewer is being thrust into her face. The second problem is the image somehow lost its resolution. If you open both images (yours and mine) and enlarge them to full size, then line up the eyes and flip back and forth between the two images, mine is still crystal sharp (as is the original image—I didn't do any extra sharpening) and yours is out of focus and enlarged. Do you not like my crop at all that you're determined to re-do this image? – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 10:15, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Your Uploading the picture was fantastic, but the view is better to be the face visible in the image. Especially when the put the image in the Infobox. Everyone knows who is she. Thank you for the follow-up with me. And you want any service, and I'm the service. Best Regards. MyCanon () 16:42, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
File:Kathryn Newton full-size comparison.png
MyCanon image superimposed over K. image
But why did you increase the image's size? It ruined the image's resolution, it's now pixellated and blurry. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 02:27, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again, I did not to increase the image size, and this was originally the nature of the original image. See in the image natural and see up close, you'll find that same image of my upload. This is the quality of the camera for Tom Sorensen. Regards. MyCanon () 03:21, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You may not have increased the image size on purpose, but it nevertheless was increased. My image is the exact same size as Sorenson's original image, only rotated and cropped. The eyes line up perfectly (and they do, I checked). If I take your image, though, and line up Kathryn's right eye, you will see that your image is significantly larger than Tom Sorenson's image. You increased the image size, which destroyed the resolution, the sharpness, and even the validity of the image. You should never increase image size; shrink it, sure, but increasing an image doesn't do anyone any favors. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 04:33, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, it does not seem to me to this seriousness. My picture of Kathryn Newton I do not see where defect. and There is no one other users complain of them. This is the first time that a user complains of my photos. And for the last time, I see no difference between My Picture and Original image, in terms of color and clarity.

I do not Mess in the colors of the image, I only I change the orientation of the face and cropped. Like what I did in this picture and Original image. Have you noticed that. Thanks for the interest. Please finish this subject, I am tired of it. Thank you. MyCanon () 06:13, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You only color corrected the image because I color corrected the image (and now you're denying that you color corrected—"I do not mess in the colors of the image"—which is an outright lie). You only straightened the image because I had straightened the image. And now you're admitting that you cannot see a major difference in the quality between your enlarged image and the original, which I have clearly demonstrated in the image above and which you can easily check yourself in the space of 30 seconds, if you really knew what you're doing. The only reason we're having this conversation is because you cannot stand having your images replaced. You even followed me across the board on foreign wikis and replaced my image with your color-corrected, straightened cropped image. You aren't improving, and you aren't enhancing; you are merely copying, which is both unfair, unethical, and, to be frank, damned annoying.
I'm not sure what your intents are as an image contributor on Commons. I just proved to you that your image was resized to be larger and, therefore, less quality than the original or even my crop. How on earth can you not see it?! So if you want this conversation finished, that's fine by me, but from this moment forth, I will continue to work as any Wikimedia editor works, which is to continue to provide a progressive and forward-moving service in both articles and in images. If you can't even see the changes that your editing is doing to images, then you may need to have both your monitor calibrated and your software checked, but if you want my personal opinion, the error is entirely yours, not a machine's.
And from now on, any continued attempt on your part to obstruct my image contributions to the English Wikipedia (you can have your French, Italian, Hebrew, whatever Wikipedia you've "staked" as your own) where you have effectively copied my work, as opposed to enhancing or increasing its value, I will revert you and I will refer to this conversation as my rationale for doing so. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 07:33, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I need your help

Hello, I appreciate your uploads of great celebrity photos, and also I'm interested in uploading of celebrity images like you and I added some of your images in Wikipedia. So I wondered if you help to clarify the copyright ownership of several Canadian celebrity photos from Canadian Film Centre (CFC). As per this deletion request page, Although I believe that CFC didn't intend to violate copyrights and did release their celebrating event photos as the event host, an admin claimed that CFC does not have the right to freely license their event photos since those are attributed by George Pimenthal Photography. as per the discussion page, I want to hear and apply the real explanation of the entities directly involved (CFC and George Pimenthal) about the deletion issue to our judgment, but I need some help of more experienced Commons user(s) to do so. You apparently experienced a similar problem like me (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/Files_uploaded_by_MyCanon), so I believe that you can understand this situation. If you help to solve the issue, I'll appreciate it, thanks. --Puramyun31 (talk) 15:03, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. CFC also released many images attributed by other photographers like this (http://www.flickr.com/photos/cfccreates/8465579625/in/photostream, Photo by Aline Sandler). If you also could ask CFC the ownerships of taken by other photographers, I'll appreciate it too. --Puramyun31 (talk) 15:13, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Puramyun31, Whew, I'm surprised at the nomination this image for deletion, In some administrators here he see the real publisher of the image. Then say you, Please send permission for image to OTRS, It means, send it back to the publisher's via e-mail. And he gives you one week, And If you have not done so, So who shall delete the image, such as the problem that I had here. Problem is there are many pictures of this user here in Wikimedia. I do not know why nominated for deletion.
And is known that the user Canadian Film Centre (CFC) Is a good of users in Celebrities in Canada. I have I also upload a picture of this user, and did not nominate for deletion. If you want to inquire about this command, you can talk this person. He has experience on this topic. Or discussed for administrators understand they have power here. I wish you luck with that. Best Regards. MyCanon () 16:42, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Fortunately, it is established that the CFC photos are legitimately released, and thanks for your advice. Best regards. --Puramyun31 (talk) 08:46, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. you did a great job here, to keep this image. Kind Regards. MyCanon () 16:33, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I figured I'd be ganged up on once again. I liked your crop, but you cropped off her hair at the top and on the sides. I re-cropped from the original tiff file so there wouldn't be any loss in resolution. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 21:03, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is no problem with my upload. And there is not much cropped of Holin hair. I see now that the images have become a Duplicate. Be careful again. MyCanon () 21:38, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on new Flickr redesign & getting license changes

Since you are cold calling flickr web members to get images free, perhaps you should carefully read this discussion here regarding sending flickrmail and getting license changes with the new flickr site redesign. Yahoo just made things harder for everyone to get a license change on an image. I don't know you well but this is just a heads up. Since you have a flickr account, you can try making license changes to your own pictures...and see if you have the same experience I had wondering why I couldn't immediatedly change the license on an image or easily send flickrmail.

Hi

Hi MyCanon, i'm Mayra Cansigno My job is photography with celebrities. I see you interested in celebrity photos. I've created an account in the Wikimedia Commons, I publish my photos in the Wikimedia Commons, and you can take advantage of my photos. Peace. --Mayra Cansigno (talk) 03:32, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mayra Cansigno, And welcome to the Wikimedia Commons. Thank you for these wonderful pictures. Thank you for everything you've done. I trust in your pictures. And I'll wait for the new images. Best Regards. MyCanon () 04:22, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Isla Fisher/Matt LeBlanc

I'd already uploaded these images onto Wikipedia. Due to family obligations, I wasn't able to insert them into the articles immediately. Here is my image of Matt uploaded at 5:35, here is your image, uploaded at 7:08. Same thing for the Isla Fisher image. If you weren't in such a rush to be the first at everything, I would have had these images, including a crop of Isla Fisher done by tonight. Why are you always stepping on my toes? Didn't you check to see that these images were already uploaded onto commons? Now what am I supposed to do, delete my own images that I actually worked to get, or replace yours with mine? I'm not going to lie, I want SOME credit here, I worked for those images. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 05:29, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi MyCanon, apologies for my message above. Just ignore it. You made derivatives of my uploads, and that's completely fair and that's how the licensing works. I incorrectly assumed you'd uploaded at least one duplicate image of mine (I see now you've cropped it); I was just trying to relax after a stressful day and carried my stress over to here. I may do another derivative edit of the Isla Fisher photo (I'll test it and see), but the Matt LeBlanc image I believe is fine and your crop is ok too. I still have no clue how you saw my new images on Commons before I'd plugged them into the articles, but that's your secret :) – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 17:21, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Keraunoscopia, I added this user from Flickr, and I watch the Latest images for him. It is an excellent photographer. And for these images: Matt LeBlanc 2013.jpg, Isla Fisher 2012.jpg, I just wanted cropped, this is everything. Thank you for everything you've done. Best Regards. MyCanon () 01:52, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, very cool, I didn't know you could watch photographers on Flickr. Your crops are fine for both images—I thought I might edit Isla, but she's fine the way she is, I think; I added your photo to many other articles. Cheers! – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 03:53, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Demi Lovato personality rights

Hello! I nominated the Demi Lovato article on Wikipedia for Good Article status, and my reviewer requested that the personality rights template be added to her pictures? Would you mind adding that template to the pictures File:Demi Lovato 2, (Cropped).jpg and File:DemiLovatoApr09.jpg? It appears I do not have the authority to do so myself. Many thanks, WikiRedactor (talk) 15:45, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi WikiRedactor, I added the personality rights template, in the images. Thanks for this service. Best Regards. MyCanon () 02:02, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Georges Biard

Hi,

I've noticed that you have cropped some of the photos I uploaded, like this one. I'd just like to specify, just in case, that I am not Georges Biard, so including a link from his name to my commons account is misleading : GB has agreed for the reuse of his photos on commons, but he doesn't have an account on commons. I've tried to explain him how it works, but so far the commons interface seems to mistify him, so for now I select and upload his photos, and he sends the OTRS authorization. So it is useless to add a link from "Georges Biard" to "JJ Georges", as I am not him. That's no big deal, but I'd just like to avoid being asked about my photos since they are not mine. Cheers, JJ Georges (talk) 05:31, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jean-Jacques Georges, I've in coordinating the publisher of photographs. Thanks for this important message. Best Regards. MyCanon () 09:13, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. It's just that I wouldn't want people to think that I am Georges Biard, and subsequently ask me if I have such and such photo up my sleeve. Of course, I can act as an intermediary and pass messages to Georges Biard, who is a very reliable contributor (although he contributes only "indirectly") but it's better to avoid any confusion. Perhaps one day I will manage to convince him to create his own account, but so far he seems very reluctant about the wiki syntax. Thanks, JJ Georges (talk) 09:21, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Cheers. MyCanon () 18:27, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nicola Peltz

Just FYI, I added attribution to me at File:Nicola Peltz 2012 (Straighten Crop).jpg. When an image is released under a CC BY license, attribution must always be given to the person or persons who worked on the photo. Anyway, I actually prefer the original photographer's crop, which although wider, is much more natural and aesthetically pleasing. I find that sometimes your crops are a bit too tight. If I come across a photo that you've worked on, about 99% of the time I leave you alone :) But I really believed Nicola Peltz's photograph should be the original crop. I hope you will agree. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 05:38, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi MyCanon, thanks! I actually don't like the crop, unfortunately, it misses too much of her shoulder and the frame looks too thin. Are you completely against the original composition? – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 04:41, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Keraunoscopia, Yes, because we see that the cropped image approved in all Wikipedias. The original did not add any article in Wikipedia. The cropped image, looks better in the article. Sorry, I will agree with cropped image. This is my job, Interest in celebrity photos. Thanks for everything you've done. Best Regards. MyCanon () 06:18, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There's no such thing as "approved in all Wikipedias". I'm only discussing the English Wikipedia. Anyway, I disagree that the crop looks better, it actually makes the image off-kilter. Since we disagree, I'll put up a question in the talk page as to which version people prefer, just like you did with the Kathryn Newton image. Cheers. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 07:05, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I've added the two images to the talk page in hopes of a third opinion. Btw, I know you work in celebrity photos, but so do I and so do a lot of other editors. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 07:38, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like the crop has consensus (your !vote plus someone else's), and that's fine. We tend to disagree on crops, but I don't mind settling disputes properly. :) I've updated the file to be more correct and informative. Thanks! – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 15:23, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it was agreed on the cropped image. Thanks for your modifications in the image. Cheers. MyCanon () 01:45, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Michael B Jordan

Hi! I've been looking for a picture to add on Michael B Jordan's article for a long time... Do you think this picture from Flickr would fit? Or this one? The licenses say "some rights reserved" and not "all rights reserved" so can we use one of them? If yes, I don't know how to do it... Thanks, --Sofffie7 (talk) 12:55, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Soffie7, This picture does not fit, because the publisher is not trusted. The second picture, they are suitable, because the publisher trusted, but the image under a license (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.0) and this license does not fit in Wikimedia. Do you want to, I ask the publication of this image, Change's license ? It needs for the duration. Thanks. MyCanon () 21:21, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh that would be great, thanks!! I'm actually new here on Commons so I don't know much about license etc. I just added 4 pictures of my own and that's it ;) --Sofffie7 (talk) 22:20, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
