Description

The Opel Adam is a city car engineered and produced by the German automaker Opel, named after the company's founder Adam Opel. The Adam will be sold as the Vauxhall Adam in the United Kingdom. It will be launched at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, with sales starting in early 2013. An OPC/VXR version of the Adam is planned and a convertible variant. The Adam production began at the Eisenach plant in Germany in January 2013.

Der Opel Adam ist ein Kleinstwagen des Automobilherstellers Opel. Mittels Badge-Engineering wird er auch als Vauxhall Adam gebaut.

Der Adam wurde am 22. September 2012 anlässlich der Feier des 150-jährigen Bestehens des Autoherstellers der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Die Produktion der Vorführfahrzeuge begann Ende November 2012, die reguläre Serienproduktion am 10. Januar 2013. Verkaufsstart war der 19. Januar 2013.

Das Fahrzeug wird im Opelwerk Eisenach montiert, in welches hierfür 190 Millionen Euro investiert wurden.
