Warning

edit

Hi Web-julio. I noticed that you've made a malformed deletion request: omitting reason, subpage, transclusion, notice to the page creator, year, month, and day. Here, {{Delete}} is not for speedy deletion, please see COM:DP. When you want to delete a page by manually using the {{Delete}} template (rather than the automatic Nominate for deletion or Nominate category for discussion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar provided by the AjaxQuickDelete gadget per COM:DR#Starting requests and COM:CFD#Starting requests), you must follow the instructions in the template, including the "Click here to show further instructions" portion (or Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually policy or the "By hand" portion of COM:CFD#Starting requests, normally collapsed), otherwise you will create a lot of work for other people. Warning: such edits are not tolerated and have led to account blocks, as "We cannot work here with people who are not willing to follow our procedures, in particular for deletion requests."   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 22:54, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

It only appears "Nominate category for discussion", and it's now a redirect. And the reason was in the summary, it sounds you didn't pay enough attention Though it's misleading, I will leave it as is. It would be deleted as empty anyways. Web-julio (talk) 00:14, 22 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Why did you remove Cat:Intersex from Category:Intersex flags?

edit

Flags are a part of intersex community expression and it makes sense to me that Category:Intersex flags would be in Category:Intersex. Would you mind explaining your reasoning for removing this? Thanks Intervex (talk) 03:46, 3 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Intervex That's cause its parent is Cat:Intersex pride colors, parented by Category:Intersex symbols and grandparented by Cat:Intersex, so it's still in the family tree. Commons doesn't have a specific policy regarding diffusing, but it seems best practice as to avoid looping. Web-julio (talk) 16:01, 4 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
It's reasonable to me that Category:Intersex Flags would have Category:Intersex Symbols as a parent, and that it in turn would have Category:Intersex as a parent. But Category:Intersex Symbols doesn't (currently) have Category:Intersex as a parent. Also not all Intersex Flags use the yellow and purple - I think it would make more sense to have Flags be directly a child of Symbols, and Symbols a child of Intersex. I agree there are inconsistency in these category layers. Someone created a lot of them in recent year. Web-julio (talk) 04:56, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Category discussion warning

Historical figures with ambiguous or disputed sexuality has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category.

In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

File:ANTRA.webp

edit

File:ANTRA.webp has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
