English: Mompson Thompson is a music duo hailing from the Toronto area in Ontario, Canada. The duo, made up of members Bill Mill and Wimpson created the genre Turbo Grebo to describe their experimental and revolutionary sound that combines elements of experimental hip hop, funk, pop, rock and various other styles of music. The group released their debut album "My Brydenful Tux-Painted Fantasy" on November 22nd, 2020: exactly 10 years after rapper Kanye West released his critically acclaimed album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy".
On November 28th, 2020, the duo released a short music video for their song "I Prefer Generic Cola" on YouTube which featured songwriter, producer and director Bill Mill doing an exercise routine in a winter jacket. Fans of the group are known as "Mompers" and the act of listening to Mompson Thompson is referred to as "Momping" by hardcore fans. Bill Mill and Wimpson are also known to use "Momp" and "Momping" to describe the creative process they use when making music. |
