Summary

edit
Description
English: Atoms-in-molecules analysis via the program Multiwfn allows the bonding of the noble-gas adduct B3Ar3+ to be presented graphically. The blue lines separate distinct atomic basins, or regions of space assigned to each nuclear attractor. The brown lines are bond paths of electron density connecting nuclei. The blue dots are bond critical points, the red dots are nuclei, and the orange dot is a ring critical point. In the graph on the left, areas with dotted-line contours correspond to a negative value of the Laplacian while solid contours correspond to a positive value of the Laplacian.
