editDescription1950 Allard K2 in Silver Grey, front left (Greenwich 2021).jpg |
English: A 1950 Allard K-2 on display at the 2021 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. Finished in October 1950, it was shipped to the US prepared to be fitted with a 331 cubic-inch Cadillac engine. This original engine, with a single Carter carburetor, is still in it along with the three-speed manual Ford transmission. Very rare in having been fitted with the optional De Dion rear axle. Very original condition, including the red interior - the car has only been repainted once in its seventy years, and in the original color. Here is a brief article by the owner from 2010, who still owns it today. |
