Derivative work of a copyrighted poster B dash (talk) 07:58, 10 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. Hmmmm... "copyrighted poster"? I think this is much more restrictive than the laws are. Especially for a picture taken in a demonstration; a picture of a sign which has ben created to be seen, photographed, etc. I don't think a court would ever say there is a copyright violation of any sort. (And: not only Copyright rules pictures; Freedom of press does too.) Regards, Jules78120 (talk) 16:41, 10 January 2019 (UTC) & 21:52, 10 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Delete per nom. Abzeronow (talk) 18:14, 10 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Abzeronow: In this case, shouldn't be needed to delete a lot of pictures from Category:Marche du 5 mai 2018 La fête à Macron (File:La Fête à Macron, 5 mai 2018 — 09.jpg, File:La Fête à Macron, 5 mai 2018 — 63.jpg, etc. and Category:Demonstrations and protests by year!)? There are many of them which are "derivative work" of signs painted or drawn by protesters. I really don't understand. Regards, Jules78120 (talk) 22:05, 10 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
In the case of File:La Fête à Macron, 5 mai 2018 — 09.jpg, we should not presume that the artist/protestor would have wanted their art to be used for any purpose. File:La Fête à Macron, 5 mai 2018 — 63.jpg might still be useful if copyrighted elements aren't there and/or the photographs might be de minimis. Abzeronow (talk) 17:08, 11 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: per nomination - Clearly a copyirghted poster -- there is no room for discussion here, without a free license from the creator, we cannot keep it. .     Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 23:03, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
