Chengde (承德) is a city in China, located northeast of Beijing in Hebei province. Some well-known attractions are the Mountain Resort (避暑山庄), the Eight Outer Temples (外八庙), and Saihanba National Park (塞罕坝). The Mountain Resort and outer temples were given UNESCO World Heritage status in 1994.
