498.9 thousand - that's the number of views on TikTok that the advertisement for the Polish Elements Hotel & Spa has achieved. "WHAT A WONDERFUL AD, PERFECT", "The only ad I watched to the end", "I’ve never seen a better hotel ad", "Finally, a short and to-the-point ad, not some unnecessary fluff, all ads should be like this, congratulations" - these are just some of the compliments from commenters on the short video.
The ad features a hotel employee in a suit. The concept is simple but amusing. Instead of floridly describing what the hotel offers, the woman simply states in two or three words what she’s showing. "This is our name" - says the character in the video, pointing to the hotel banner. "This is where you check in" - she says as the reception desk appears on screen. And so it goes for 30 seconds.
The sauna is shown ("warm here"), the bar ("drinks here"), and the gym ("sculpting here"). All of this is delivered in a completely deadpan manner, with pleasant background music (the popular TikTok song "Summer Place" by Hollywood Strings Orchestra), giving the whole thing a comedic flair reminiscent of "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation".
Additionally, Tomasz Adamek ("here’s Tomek") made an appearance in the ad, and another hotel employee ("here’s Michał") was introduced in the same way. The legendary Polish boxer has been promoting the hotel at least since the beginning of the year. Although the vast majority of reactions are positive, there are some detractors. "You're a bit late to the party; this is probably the hundredth company to use this trend," wrote one user on X. The trend he refers to is called "if ads were directed only at men".
