Impact Organizations

Georgetown students passionate about social impact and sustainability will find a wide range of opportunities to connect with like-minded peers on campus. In addition to becoming a Student Leader with Business for Impact, students are encouraged to explore other active student organizations, centers, and initiatives at Georgetown addressing sustainability from many different perspectives and approaches.

The Social Impact Internship Fund (SIIF) supports Georgetown MBA students who accept unpaid or low-paying internships in the social impact field. In 2019, SIIF met 100% of student demand.

Office of Sustainability

The Office of Sustainability, housed within Planning and Facilities Management, serves as a resource and catalyst to advance the University’s sustainability mission and goals. Established in 2013, the office builds upon Georgetown’s commitment to environmental stewardship and social justice by leading efforts to create a positive campus environmental footprint, facilitating integration of sustainability across functional areas, and providing Georgetown students with experiential learning opportunities in the practice of sustainability.

The Beeck Center

We are a training ground for students and an incubator for scalable, leading-edge ideas in service of the common good.

Georgetown University Social Innovation and Public Service (SIPS) Fund

The SIPS Fund is a $1.5 million student-run fund that allocates approximately $60,000 in grant money every year to help students and alumni start their own social ventures. SIPS evaluates grant proposals based on four pillars–Innovation, Sustainability, Impact on Community, and Impact on Student.
