Abstract:
Historically, war has often been triggered for economic reasons. Yet today, relatively few economists are interested in this issue. War is an instrument of power, of development, but also of destruction of a world and of men... The military-industrial complexes keep the pressure on the enemy nations, and for Marx and his epigones it is also the consequence of the fundamental contradictions of capitalism. For neoclassical theorists, the war of extra-economic phenomena, often due to the existence of economic systems antagonistic to the system of capitalism and democracy . However, if war goes beyond the field of reflection of economists, the economy remains a major cause of conflicts in the world.
