You apparently weren't around for the Tommy West days. Fans stopped showing later in his last season and they will only tolerate so many losses. Empty seats will get a coach fired quicker than anything. I hope this thing gets turned around and we don't have to worry about that anytime soon.

If we lose to App st. We can still win the state championship, still win the ACC championship, still make the playoffs, and still win a playoff game, and still win a national championship.

I had no reason to think that we couldn’t have a great year.
In contrast, we lost in football to Georgia by 31. That doesn’t exact inspire confidence, especially after Dabo said that we would have a really good team this year.

to take most coach-speak with a grade of slaw because few, if any, are going to berate publicly their team's abilities to be competitive against any opponent...Dabo included.
Rather, I usually skip all the press conferences and wait for the on field or on court action. I've admitted not being a huge basketball fan, but this past season I found myself watching more of our games than I've seen in the past five years. Say what you want about Coach Brownell, but he runs a clean program and typically retains his composure courtside, two traits missing in a number of coaches.

Basketball has coaches to help the players improve during the season. Football does not on offense
