     Gerard Vernon Wallop, 9th Earl of Portsmouth was born on 16 May 1898.1 He was the son of Oliver Henry Wallop, 8th Earl of Portsmouth and Marguerite Walker.1 He married, firstly, Mary Lawrence Post, daughter of Waldron Kintzing Post, on 31 July 1920.1 He and Mary Lawrence Post were divorced in 1936.1 He married, secondly, Bridget Cory Crohan, daughter of Captain Patrick Bermingham Crohan, on 14 August 1936.1 He died on 28 September 1984 at age 86.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1916 in the 2nd Life Guards and Guards MG Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He wrote the book Git le Coeur, published 1928.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Mary Lawrence Post was the daughter of Waldron Kintzing Post.1 She married Gerard Vernon Wallop, 9th Earl of Portsmouth, son of Oliver Henry Wallop, 8th Earl of Portsmouth and Marguerite Walker, on 31 July 1920.1 She and Gerard Vernon Wallop, 9th Earl of Portsmouth were divorced in 1936.1 She died on 6 August 1964.1
     Her married name became Wallop.

     Bridget Cory Crohan was baptised on 24 December 1911 at Caythorpe, Lincolnshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Captain Patrick Bermingham Crohan.1 She married Gerard Vernon Wallop, 9th Earl of Portsmouth, son of Oliver Henry Wallop, 8th Earl of Portsmouth and Marguerite Walker, on 14 August 1936.1 She died on 15 December 1979 at age 67.1
     Her married name became Wallop. After her marriage, Bridget Cory Crohan was styled as Countess of Portsmouth on 10 February 1943. She was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)1

Kenneth Bridges Stanley, on 26 June 1952.1 He and Maureen Stanley were divorced in 1954.1 He married, secondly, Ruth Violet Sladen, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Gerald Carew Sladen, on 31 May 1954.1 He married, thirdly, Julia Ogden, daughter of William Graeme Ogden and Sheila Edith Julia Faber, on 26 March 1974.2 He died on 5 June 1984 at age 61.1
