Sir William Wheler, 1st Bt.1

     Sir William Wheler, 1st Bt. was the son of John Wheler and Anne Hervey.2 He married Elizabeth Cole, daughter of Michael Cole.1 He died on 6 August 1666, without issue.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Westbury between 1640 and 1643.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Westbury in 1659.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Queensborough in 1660.1 He was created 1st Baronet Wheler, of City of Westminster, co. London [England] on 11 August 1660, with special remainder to his cousin, Charles Wheler.1
