     Frances Mary Isabella Smith was born on 3 April 1812.1 She was the daughter of James Smith and Mary Isabella Pechell.1 She married Colonel Thomas Le Marchant, son of Maj.-Gen. John Gaspard Le Marchant and Mary Carey, on 2 July 1846.2 She died on 15 October 1902 at age 90, without issue.1
     From 2 July 1846, her married name became Le Marchant.2
