Lady Eliza Philadelphia Erskine Goodeve1

     Lady Eliza Philadelphia Erskine Goodeve was born in 1834.1 She was the daughter of William James Goodeve and Lady Frances Jemima Erskine.2 She married Reverend Edward Maule Cole on 14 August 1862.1 She died on 15 March 1917.1
     From 14 August 1862, her married name became Cole. On 15 October 1885 she was granted by Royal Warrant the rank of a daughter of a countess.2

     Major Seymour Hamilton Maule Cole was baptised on 21 October 1866 at Wetwang, Yorkshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Reverend Edward Maule Cole and Lady Eliza Philadelphia Erskine Goodeve.3 He married Lillian May Sullivan, daughter of Michael Sullivan, in 1892.1 He died on 10 December 1938 at age 72.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the ISR Rifles.1 He was awarded the Royal Officers' Decoration (V.D.)1 He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches.3

     Lillian May Sullivan was the daughter of Michael Sullivan.2 She married Major Seymour Hamilton Maule Cole, son of Reverend Edward Maule Cole and Lady Eliza Philadelphia Erskine Goodeve, in 1892.1 She died on 9 October 1952.1
     From 1892, her married name became Cole.

     Major Douglas Seymour Francis Erskine Maule-Cole was born on 15 September 1898.1,2 He was the son of Major Seymour Hamilton Maule Cole and Lillian May Sullivan.3 He was also reported to have been married in 1924.1 He and Iris Violet Broome were divorced in 1935.1 He married, secondly, Rosa Florence Bartley, daughter of Lieutenant Stanley George Bartley, in 1942 at St. Margaret, Westminster, London, England.1,4 He married Iris Violet Broome, daughter of Colonel George Simpson Broome and Violet Elizabeth Emma Wallace, in 1918 at Paddington, London, England.4 He died in January 1985 at age 86 at Bournemouth, Hampshire, England.1,2
     He was Lieutenant.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Machine Gun Corps.3 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Flying Corps.3 He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Reserve of Air Force Officers.3 He fought in the Second World War.3 He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Army.3

     Colonel George Simpson Broome was born on 10 December 1862.2 He was the son of William Roche Broome and Emily Hosener.2 He was baptised on 12 May 1863 at Secunderabad, Madras, IndiaG.2 He married Violet Elizabeth Emma Wallace, daughter of Robert Ouyram Wallace and Lambertine Cavagnari, in 1896 at Kensington, London, EnglandG.2 He died on 7 February 1934 at age 71.2
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Army.1
