Sir Alexander Kay Muir, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Alexander Kay Muir, 2nd Bt. was born on 20 April 1868.1 He was the son of Sir John Muir of Deanston, 1st Bt. and Margaret Morrison Kay.2 He married, firstly, Grace Frances Newman, daughter of John Adam Richard Newman, on 25 July 1910.1 He married, secondly, Nadejda Stanicoff, daughter of Dimitri Stanicoff, on 17 March 1924.1 He died on 4 June 1951 at age 83, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Muir, of Deanston, co. Perth and Park Gardens, Glasgow [U.K., 1892] on 6 August 1903.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Glasgow.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Waterford in 1919.1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.1

     Grace Frances Newman was the daughter of John Adam Richard Newman.2 She married, secondly, Sir Alexander Kay Muir, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Muir of Deanston, 1st Bt. and Margaret Morrison Kay, on 25 July 1910.1 She married, firstly, Major Henry Charles Windsor Villiers-Stuart, son of Henry Windsor Villiers-Stuart and Mary Power, on 20 August 1895.1 She died on 31 July 1920.1
     From 20 August 1895, her married name became Villiers-Stuart. From 25 July 1910, her married name became Muir.
