     Lionel Smythe, 5th Viscount Strangford was born on 19 May 1753. He was the son of Philip Smythe, 4th Viscount Strangford and Mary Jephson. He married Mary Eliza Philipse, daughter of Frederick Philipse and Elizabeth Williams, on 5 September 1779. He died in 1801.
     He gained the title of 5th Viscount Strangford.

     Her married name became Smythe.

     Ellen Burke was the daughter of Sir Thomas Burke, 1st Bt. and Christian Browne.1 She married, firstly, Nicholas Browne in February 1804.1 She married, secondly, Percy Clinton Sydney Smythe, 6th Viscount Strangford, son of Lionel Smythe, 5th Viscount Strangford and Mary Eliza Philipse, on 17 July 1817.1 She died on 26 January 1826.1
     From February 1804, her married name became Browne.1 From 17 July 1817, her married name became Smythe.

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was a BBC Home Service Announcer between 1945 and 1947.1 He was a Public Information Officer with the United Nations between 1948 and 1957.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. He succeeded as the 7th Baron Sheffield, of Roscommon, co. Roscommon [I., 1783] on 3 March 1971.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Eddisbury of Winnington, co. Chester [U.K., 1848] on 3 March 1971.1 He succeeded as the 13th Baronet Stanley, of Alderley [E., 1660] on 3 March 1971.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Stanley of Alderley, co.      Brig.-Gen. Guy Lubbock was born on 9 October 1870.1 He was the son of Frederic Lubbock and Catherine Gurney.1 He married Lettice Isabella Mason, daughter of Robert Harvey Mason, on 16 April 1912.1 He died on 3 March 1956 at age 85.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1917.1 He was awarded the Order of the White Eagle of Serbia 3rd class, with swords.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1921.1
