Sir Charles Norris Nicholson, 1st Bt.

     Sir Charles Norris Nicholson, 1st Bt. was born on 30 July 1857.1 He was the son of William Norris Nicholson and Emily Daniel.1,2 He married Amy Letitia Crosfield, daughter of George Crosfield and Isabella Ashworth, on 26 January 1882.1 He died on 29 November 1918 at age 61.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, on 7 February 1912 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Laws (LL.M.)1 He was Second Church Estates Commissioner between 1910 and 1918.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Doncaster between 1910 and 1918.1 He was created 1st Baronet Nicholson, of Harrington Gardens, Royal Borough of Kensington [U.K.] on 7 February 1912.1

     Donald Swinton Campbell, 2nd Baron Colgrain was born on 6 November 1891.2 He was the son of Colin Frederick Campbell, 1st Baron Colgrain and Lady Angela Mary Alice Ryder.3 He married Margaret Emily Carver, daughter of Percy William Carver, on 1 August 1917.3 He died on 20 October 1973 at age 81.3

     F/O John Lambton was born on 31 July 1909.1 He was the son of Hon. George Lambton and Cicely Margaret Horner. He married Ethel Ruth Nicholson, daughter of Captain William Henry Nicholson and Sibyl Wigham, on 15 March 1934.1 He died on 11 August 1941 at age 32, killed while on active service.1
     He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards.1

George Lambton, son of George Frederick D'Arcy Lambton, 2nd Earl of Durham and Lady Beatrix Frances Hamilton, on 7 December 1908.1 She died in 1972 at Newmarket, Cambridgeshire, England.2
     Her married name became Lambton.
