     Commander John Vivian Auchmuty Musters was born on 7 May 1917.2 He was the son of Captain John Domvile Auchmuty Musters and Olga Gertrude Helena Barnes.3,2 He married Ann Rosemary Garbett, daughter of Captain Leonard Garbett, on 11 September 1943.2 He died on 10 February 2013 at age 95 at Nelson, New Zealand.2
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1
