     Lt.-Col. George St. John Armitage Dyson was born on 24 June 1893 at Kirkburton, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Thomas James Dyson and Julia Ethel Armitage.1 He married Mona (?)1 He died on 22 November 1942 at age 49 at KoreaG.1
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1917.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 122nd (West Riding) Field Regiment, Malaya Command Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War, where be was captured by the Japanese and became a POW.1
