     Gerhard II von Schauenburg Graf von Holstein-Plön was born in 1254.1 He was the son of Gerhard I Graf von Holstein-Itzehoe and Elisabeth von Mecklenburg. He married, secondly, Agnes von Brandenburg, daughter of Johann I Markgraf von Brandenburg and Sophia Valdemarsdottir, in 1293.2 He married, firstly, Ingeborg Folkunga, daughter of Valdemar, King of Sweden and Sophie Eriksdottir, Princess of Denmark, in 1275.1 He died in 1312.1
     He gained the title of Graf von Holstein-Plön.

     Valdemar, King of Sweden was born in 1243.2 He was the son of Birgir Folkunga, Jarl of Sweden and Ingeborg Eriksdottir.3,1 He married Sophie Eriksdottir, Princess of Denmark, daughter of Erik IV 'Ploughpenny' Valdemarsson, King of Denmark and Jutta von Sachsen, in 1260.2 He died in 1302.2
     He was a member of the House of Folkunga. He succeeded as the King Valdemar of Sweden in 1250.3 He was deposed as King of Sweden in 1275.3

     Agnes von Brandenburg was the daughter of Johann I Markgraf von Brandenburg and Sophia Valdemarsdottir.1 She married, firstly, Erik V 'Klipping' Christofsson, King of Denmark, son of Christopher I Valdemarsson, King of Denmark and Margaret von Pommern, on 11 November 1273. She married, secondly, Gerhard II von Schauenburg Graf von Holstein-Plön, son of Gerhard I Graf von Holstein-Itzehoe and Elisabeth von Mecklenburg, in 1293.1 She died in 1304.1
     Her married name became von Schauenburg.
