     Edward Heneage Dering was born on 15 March 1827.2 He was the son of Reverend Cholmeley Edward John Dering and Maria Price.1,2 He married, firstly, Henrietta Georgiana Marcia Iremonger, daughter of Reverend Lascelles Iremonger and Harriet Maria Gambier, on 1 June 1859.1 He married, secondly, Rebecca Dulcibella Orpen, daughter of Abraham Edward Orpen, on 21 September 1885.2 He died on 22 November 1892 at age 65, without issue.2
     He gained the rank of officer in the Coldstream Guards.1
