     Sir Richard Lakin, 2nd Bt. was born on 30 May 1873.1 He was the son of Sir Michael Henry Lakin, 1st Bt. and Alice Emma Dewing.2 He married Mildred Alice Shakerley, daughter of Captain Geoffrey Joseph Shakerley, on 22 October 1903.1 He died on 14 February 1955 at age 81.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Warwickshire Yeomanry.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Lakin, of The Cliff, co. Warwick [U.K., 1909] on 21 March 1931.1

     Sybil Patteson Nickalls was the daughter of Sir Patteson Nickalls.2 She married Henry Gilbert Lakin, son of Sir Michael Henry Lakin, 1st Bt. and Alice Emma Dewing, on 4 February 1902.1 She died on 11 June 1938.1
     From 4 February 1902, her married name became Lakin.
