     Julian Russell Sturgis was born on 21 October 1848 at Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.3 He was the son of Russell Sturgis and Juliet Overing Boit.3,2 He married Mary Maude Beresford, daughter of Colonel Marcus Wylly de la Poer Beresford and Charlotte Blakeney, on 8 November 1883.1 He died on 13 April 1904 at age 55.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.4 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.4 He was a novelist.4

     John Hill de la Poer Beresford was born on 15 May 1832.1 He was the son of John Beresford and Harriet Eliza Wylly.2 He married Emma Macleod, daughter of Alexander Macleod, on 26 March 1859.1 He died on 3 August 1863 at age 31.1
     He held the office of Colonial Secretary of Tobago.1

     Captain Henry Clements Beresford was born in 1835.1 He was the son of John Beresford and Harriet Eliza Wylly.2 He married Matilda Hincks, daughter of Sir Francis Hincks, on 23 June 1857.1 He died on 19 September 1865, accidentally drowned.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 69th Regiment.1
