     Lt.-Gen. Dudley Charles FitzGerald-de Ros, 23rd Lord de Ros of Helmsley was born on 11 March 1827.1 He was the son of General William Lennox Lascelles FitzGerald-de Ros, 22nd Lord de Ros of Helmsley and Lady Georgiana Lennox.1 He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Grey Egerton, daughter of Thomas Grosvenor Egerton, 2nd Earl of Wilton of Wilton Castle and Lady Mary Margaret Stanley, on 12 October 1853.1 He married, secondly, Mary Geraldine Mahon, daughter of Sir William Vesey Ross Mahon, 4th Bt. and Jane King, on 14 January 1896 at London, EnglandG.1 He died on 29 April 1907 at age 80.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Extra Equerry to HRH The Prince Consort between 1853 and 1861.1 He was Colonel of the 1st Life Guards between 1861 and 1872.1 He held the office of Extra Equerry to HM Queen Victoria between 1862 and 1868.1 He held the office of Equerry to HRH The Prince Consort between 1868 and 1874.1 He was a Lord-in-Waiting between 1874 and 1880.1 He succeeded as the 23rd Lord de Ros of Helmsley [E., 1299] on 6 January 1874.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in 1881.1 He held the office of a Lord-in-Waiting between 1885 and 1892.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1897.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Down.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Down.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.) in 1902.1

     From 1 July 1813, her married name became Blakeney.1

     John Henry Blakeney was the son of Captain Theophilus Blakeney and Margaret Stafford.1 He married Charlotte Mahon, daughter of Sir Ross Mahon, 1st Bt. and Lady Elizabeth Browne, on 1 July 1813.1 He died on 17 November 1858.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff in 1819.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Abbert, Monivea, County Galway, IrelandG.1

     Catherine Vesey, Baroness Fitzgerald and Vesci was the daughter of Reverend Henry Vesey.1 She married Rt. Hon. James Fitzgerald, son of William Fitzgerald and Eliza Lynch.1 She died on 3 January 1832.1
     Her married name became FitzGerald.2 She was created 1st Baroness FitzGerald and Vesci, of Clare and Inchicronan, co. Clare [Ireland] on 27 June 1826.1
