     Her married name became Clutton-Brock.

     Colonel William Ronald Denis Vernon-Harcourt was born posthumously on 4 May 1909.1 He is the son of Leveson William Vernon-Harcourt and Rose Adelaide Lawrence.1 He married Nancy Everil Leatham, daughter of Lt.-Col. Bertram Henry Leatham and Everil Gordon Robinson, on 29 May 1937.1 He died on 28 February 1999 at age 89.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1930 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War, in Burma, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1941 in the South Wales Borderers (24th Regiment.)1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1947.1
