     Reverend Lewis Way was born on 11 February 1772.² He was the son of Benjamin Way and Elizabeth Anne Cooke.² He married Mary Drewe, daughter of Reverend Herman Drewe, on 31 December 1801 at Totnes, Devon, England.^2,3 He died on 26 January 1840 at age 67 at Leamington, Warwickshire, England.^2,3
     He graduated from Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1796 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1797 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.² He was Chaplain to the Earl of Sheffield.² He lived at Stanstead Park, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Penelope Goodford was the daughter of John Goodford.¹ She married Henry Daniel Cholmeley, son of Sir Montague Cholmeley, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Harrison, on 25 March 1862.¹ She died on 3 January 1912, without issue.¹
     From 25 March 1862, her married name became Cholmeley.¹

     John Goodford lived at Chilton Cantelo, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Edward Metcalfe was the son of Francis Metcalfe.¹ He married Catherine Maude Cholmeley, daughter of Henry Daniel Cholmeley and Georgiana Millicent Way, on 4 November 1889.¹ He died on 6 December 1891.¹

     Francis Metcalfe lived at Metcalfe Park, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹

     Reverend Francis Collins Norton married Olivia Millicent Cholmeley, daughter of Henry Daniel Cholmeley and Georgiana Millicent Way, on 15 December 1891.¹ He died on 8 October 1921.¹
     He was the Vicar at Ditchling, Sussex, England^G.¹ He had two daughters.¹

     Reginald Earle Welby, 1st and last Baron Welby was born on 3 August 1832.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Earle Welby and Felicia Elizabetha Hole.^1,2 He died on 29 October 1915 at age 83, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1855 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was with the Treasury between 1856 and 1894.¹ He was Private Secretary to the Financial Secretary between 1859 and 1871.¹ He was Principal Clerk, Finance department between 1871 and 1880.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1874.³ He was Assistant Financial Secretary between 1880 and 1885.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1882.³ He held the office of Permanent Secretary between 1885 and 1894.³ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1892.³ He was created 1st Baron Welby, of Allington, co. Lincoln [U.K.] on 16 April 1894.¹ He was director of the Grand Trunk Canada and Grand Trunk Pacific Railway and Standard Bank of South Africa in 1899.⁴ He held the office of Chairman of the London City Council between 1899 and 1900.⁴ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1913.³ He was president of the Royal Statistical Society in 1914.⁴

     Beatrix of Kevelioc was born illegitimately.¹ She is the daughter of Hugh of Kevelioc, 3rd Earl of Chester.¹ She married William de Malpas, son of Richard de Malpas and Letitia FitzHugh.¹

     David de Malpas is the son of William de Malpas and Beatrix of Kevelioc.² He married Margaret ap Eynion, daughter of Ralph ap Eynion.¹
     David de Malpas also went by the nick-name of David 'le Clerc'.¹ He gained the title of Lord of Malpas [feudal baron].² He held the office of Sheriff of Cheshire in 1252.¹

     Richard de Malpas is the son of William de Malpas and Beatrix of Kevelioc.¹
