     Arthur Fraser Walter was born on 12 September 1846.1 He was the son of John Walter and Emily Frances Court.1 He married Henrietta Maria Anson, daughter of Reverend Architel Anson, on 15 October 1872.1 He died on 22 August 1910 at age 63.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was chief proprietor of The Times between 1894 and 1908.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Volunteer Battalion, Royal Berkshire Regiment.1 He held the office of High Steward of Wokingham.1 He had one other son and two daughters.1
