     Hon. Anne Ponsonby is the daughter of William Ponsonby, 1st Viscount Duncannon and Mary Moore.2 She married Nicholas Loftus, 1st Viscount Loftus of Ely, son of Henry Loftus and Anne Crewkern, after April 1706.1
     From after April 1706, her married name became Loftus.

     Johanna Field was born circa 1670.2 She was the daughter of William Field and Susannah Becher.2 She and John Travers obtained a marriage license in 1691.2 She married, secondly, Henry Baldwin in 1695.2 She died after 1722.2
     From 1691, her married name became Travers.2 From 1695, her married name became Baldwin.2

     Mary Hume was born in 1715.2 She was the daughter of Sir Gustavus Hume, 3rd Bt.1 She married Nicholas Hume-Loftus, 1st Earl of Ely, son of Nicholas Loftus, 1st Viscount Loftus of Ely and Hon. Anne Ponsonby, on 18 August 1736.1 She died in October 1740.1
     From 18 August 1736, her married name became Loftus.

     Nicholas Loftus Hume, 2nd Earl of Ely was born on 11 September 1738.1 He was the son of Nicholas Hume-Loftus, 1st Earl of Ely and Mary Hume.3 He died on 12 November 1769 at age 31, unmarried.1
     He was given the name of Nicholas Loftus at birth.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Loftus of Loftus Hall, co. Wexford [I., 1751] on 31 October 1766.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Ely, co. Wicklow [I., 1766] on 31 October 1766.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Loftus of Ely [I., 1756] on 31 October 1766.1 He held the office of Governor of County Fermanagh in 1767.1 On his death, his earldom expired.1

     Henry Loftus, 1st and last Earl of Ely was born on 18 November 1709.1 He was the son of Nicholas Loftus, 1st Viscount Loftus of Ely and Hon. Anne Ponsonby.2 He married, firstly, Frances Monroe, daughter of Henry Monroe, in 1745.1 He married, secondly, Anne Bonfoy, daughter of Captain Hugh Bonfoy and Anna (?), in 1775.2 He died on 8 May 1783 at age 73, without issue.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Wexford in 1744.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bannow between 1747 and 1768.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Wexford between 1768 and 1769.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Loftus of Loftus Hall, co. Wexford [I., 1751] on 12 November 1769.1 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Loftus of Ely [I., 1756] on 12 November 1769.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1771.1 He was created 1st Earl of Ely, co. Wicklow [Ireland] on 2 December 1771.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.) in 1783.1 On his death, all of his titles became extinct.2

John Travers1

     John Travers was the son of John Travers and Mary Scudamore.1,2 He and Johanna Field obtained a marriage license in 1691.1 He died on 14 April 1693.2
