Malise Graham, 1st Earl of Menteith

     Malise Graham, 1st Earl of Menteith was born circa 1407.1 He was the son of Patrick Graham, Earl of Strathearn and Eupheme Stewart, Countess of Caithness.2 He married, firstly, Jane de Rochford.2 He married, secondly, Marion Campbell, daughter of Sir Colin Campbell, 1st of Glenorchy and Margaret Stirling.2 He died between 8 December 1485 and 17 May 1491.3
     He styled himself as Earl of Strathearn between 1413 and 1427.2 Between 1427 and 1453 he was imprisoned in Pontefract Castle as hostage for payment of the ransom of King James I.3 He was created 1st Earl of Menteith [Scotland] on 6 September 1427, after King James I stripped him of the title Earl of Strathearn on the basis that it was only inheritable through a male line.3

     Marion Campbell was the daughter of Sir Colin Campbell, 1st of Glenorchy and Margaret Stirling.2,3 She married, firstly, Malise Graham, 1st Earl of Menteith, son of Patrick Graham, Earl of Strathearn and Eupheme Stewart, Countess of Caithness.1 She married, secondly, John Drummond before 17 May 1491.2 She died between 28 April 1530 and 23 August 1530.1,4
     After her marriage, Marion Campbell was styled as Countess of Menteith. Her married name became Graham.1 From before 17 May 1491, her married name became Drummond.2

     Lady Eupheme Graham was the daughter of Patrick Graham, Earl of Strathearn and Eupheme Stewart, Countess of Caithness.2 She and Robert Stewart, Master of Fife were engaged on 4 May 1414 but the marriage did not take place.3 She and Walter Stewart, Master of Fife were engaged on 5 September 1415 but the marriage did not take place.3 She married, firstly, Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Douglas, son of Archibald Douglas, 4th Earl of Douglas and Margaret Stewart, Lady of Galloway, between 24 February 1423 and 26 April 1425.1 She married, secondly, James Hamilton, 1st Lord Hamilton, son of Sir James Hamilton, 5th of Cadzow and Janet Livingston, after 25 February 1440/41.4 She died between 1 August 1468 and 1 November 1468.4
     She succeeded as the 2nd Countess of Strathern. After her marriage, Lady Eupheme Graham was styled as Countess of Douglas on 17 August 1424. After her marriage, Lady Eupheme Graham was styled as Baroness Hamilton on 28 June 1445.

Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Douglas1

     Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Douglas was born in 1390.1 He was the son of Archibald Douglas, 4th Earl of Douglas and Margaret Stewart, Lady of Galloway.2 He married Lady Eupheme Graham, daughter of Patrick Graham, Earl of Strathearn and Eupheme Stewart, Countess of Caithness, between 24 February 1423 and 26 April 1425.3 He died on 26 June 1439 at Restalrig, Midlothian, ScotlandG, from a fever.3 He was also reported to have died on 24 November 1440. He was buried at St. Bride's Church, Douglas, ScotlandG.3
     He was styled as Earl of Wigtoun between 1410 and 1424.3 He fought in the Battle of Baugé on 22 March 1420/21.3 He was created 1st Comte de Longuevill, Normandy [France] before 1424.4 He was created Comte de Longueville [France] before 1424.3 He held the office of Scottish Ambassador to England in 1424, for the ransom of King James I.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Duc de Touraine [France, 1424] on 17 August 1424.3 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Douglas [S., 1358] on 17 August 1424.3 He held the office of a Regent of the Kingdom in 1437.3 He held the office of Lieutenant-General of the Kingdom in 1438.3 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of Nationary Biography.5

     She gained the title of Lady of Brechin. Her married name became Stewart.
