     Hon. Mary Elizabeth Anne Dalberg-Acton was born on 15 August 1866.1 She was the daughter of John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton, 1st Baron Acton of Aldenham and Maria Anna Ludmilla Euphrosina von und zu Arco auf Valley.1 She married Lt.-Col. Edward Bleiddian Herbert, son of John Arthur Edward Herbert and Hon. Augusta Charlotte Elizabeth Hall, on 21 October 1901.1 She died on 9 January 1955 at age 88.1
     From 21 October 1901, her married name became Herbert.1

     Lt.-Col. Edward Bleiddian Herbert was born on 23 January 1858.2 He was the son of John Arthur Edward Herbert and Hon. Augusta Charlotte Elizabeth Hall.1,2 He married Hon. Mary Elizabeth Anne Dalberg-Acton, daughter of John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton, 1st Baron Acton of Aldenham and Maria Anna Ludmilla Euphrosina von und zu Arco auf Valley, on 21 October 1901.1 He died on 29 April 1931 at age 73.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 17th Lancers.1

     John Arthur Edward Herbert was born on 12 October 1818.2 He was the son of John Jones and Lady Harriet Plunkett.3 He married Hon. Augusta Charlotte Elizabeth Hall, daughter of Benjamin Hall, 1st Baron Llanover.2 He died on 18 August 1895 at age 76.2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Llanarth Court, Llanarth, Monmouthshire, WalesG.1 He lived at Treowen, Monmouthshire, WalesG.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He was given the name of John Arthur Edward Jones at birth.4 On 20 September 1848 his name was legally changed to John Arthur Edward Herbert by Royal Licence.4 He held the office of High Sheriff of Monmouthshire in 1849.2

     Dorothy Lyon was born in 1876.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Henry Lyon and Edith Grace Branker.1,2 She married Richard Maximilian Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, 2nd Baron Acton of Aldenham, son of John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton, 1st Baron Acton of Aldenham and Maria Anna Ludmilla Euphrosina von und zu Arco auf Valley, on 7 June 1904.1 She died on 17 March 1923 at Aldenham Park, Bridgenorth, Shropshire, EnglandG, after a long illness.1,3
     After her marriage, Dorothy Lyon was styled as Baroness Acton of Aldenham on 7 June 1904.
